Screenshots are captured directly into RAM as a base64 string, encrypted, and immediately sent via a secure proxy to your chosen AI provider (Anthropic or OpenAI) over HTTPS. The screenshot data is deleted from RAM instantly after the AI processes the request and returns an answer. It is never written to disk, logged by the proxy, or stored by ScreenGeany AI.

What AI models does ScreenGeany AI support?

ScreenGeany AI supports several powerful AI models. You can choose between Anthropic's Claude models (Claude Haiku 4.5 for speed, Claude Sonnet 4.6 for balance) and OpenAI's GPT-4o models (including GPT-4o mini for speed and GPT-4o for balance). You can switch between providers and models directly within the app without needing to restart.
